That's why economic crunches are good for the system - they help us shed unproductive hogs out of the market.

Re: 5 ballsy social media predictions for 2009

To be very true, Internet is furious so behavior of internet users as well. What I assume and predicted lastly, that was just rubbish but who cares? Anyways, Rather than predicting anything, I shall like to see all those predictions in reality.

Re: 5 ballsy social media predictions for 2009

I guess I'll just have to remember read all the comments first then input my 5 cents :)

Nice twitter profile man ;)

Re: 5 ballsy social media predictions for 2009

I'm with you on Pandora. I wish they'd go worldwide, and maybe they will try to do that at some point. If they could, I think the death of Last.FM would be that much more swift.

As for Louis passing Robert - shh... you can't predict that after he's already answered! ;)

Re: 5 ballsy social media predictions for 2009

Pandora killing last.fm? Maybe it's time for Pandora to go worldwide for a start?

Louis surpassing Robert: I do not think Robert cares that much :)

Re: 5 ballsy social media predictions for 2009

I'd disagree about Pandora killing Last.fm. The UK don't have access to Pandora so we're still very big users of Last.fm.

Re: 5 ballsy social media predictions for 2009

Blogging doesn't matter to me as much anymore. Participating, having conversations with smart people, and choosing the news from the best newsmakers, does. And no one will be able to touch me there in 2009. But, yes, Louis' guest posters may pass my blog's traffic in 2009, but will it matter? I'm off playing another game: one that is far more interesting than that! :-)

Re: 5 ballsy social media predictions for 2009

Love the predictions, but I think Facebook will likely by Twitter and integrate it into the status notifications. If you look at the mini-feed they have already started to make a fun at Friendfeed, so it would make sense .

Brandon J. If Pandora adds similar social features, I could see them taking a large chunk of Last.FM's US user base. Would Last.FM stay open to serve mostly an overseas audience? It's owned by CBS Interactive.

Re: 5 ballsy social media predictions for 2009

I can't see Last FM being put down by Pandora. Last FM is a worldwide service, while Pandora is local to the US.

Re: 5 ballsy social media predictions for 2009

I do hope Plurk dies, I've got beef with their karma system.

Re: 5 ballsy social media predictions for 2009

Louis deserves whatever success await him.
